If I’m not mistaken, that was a campaign rally paid for by donations…that is the rally itself, not the secret service and such.

I heard the other day that Trump filed the papers for his re-election on the day he was sworn in, and has been accumulating contributions ever since.

I seem to remember a few Republican congressman complaining that Obama was using Air Force One as his personal toy. So is going to an ego boosting rally considered part of the job now? Why no complaints from the Republicans about Trump's questionable uses of Air Force One?

gotta explain this one for those who didn't follow the story. Under threat of veto, an impasse kept New Jersey from reaching a budget bill by July 1. Christie then shut down all state facilities deemed not essential. That included several state beach parks. He, however, has a gubanatorial getaway on one of those and was allowed to lounge with family on a State Beach. An outcry ensued, along with hilarious commentary and photoshopping. Hence:

The problem with using immigrant families to “get the job done” is after a few short generations they become fat lazy entitled Americans, just like everyone else.

And I can't really see how a country that uses imported people to do the ★■◆● work can claim the moral high ground, or why someone who's first action as an American is breaking the law deserves any respect.

some fair points, but unless you can find empathy for WHY someone would risk breaking laws to live here, you aren't very pursuasive. The history of this nation is of folks coming here for better lives. We essentially had no immigration law until the early 20th century, and those were purely punitive quotas borne of xenophobia, a trend which persists to this day. Above that, the employers merely nod and wink and then actively recruit in Central America and Asia. Someone coming here to work and create a life of worth has my respect. That sort of person ALWAYS adds to any community they land in, from my life experience.
