Hell, he IS the Commander in Chief. During the first six days after the hurricane, Trump only sent in a paltry 2 ships to help the entire island, while he stood his fat Republican ass on his luxury golf coarse enjoying himself like the coddled rich prick he is. A genuine leader would've put aside his personal play time and made sure that his country and it's citizens who in trouble were being assisted properly by their government.

Too easy. 10 or 15 years ago our navy had over 600 ships, now it has only 200 some. Maybe now you are beginning to see why cutting back the military is a bad idea.

I'll bet there are a lot more than just 2 around for the entire East Coast.

How royally fucked is this country that this type of ★■◆● is legal. Yes this is clearly what the Founding Fathers had in mind when reloading a single cartridge took 45 ★■◆●ing SECONDS. Every single goddamn card-carrying NRA member is complicit in this ★■◆●. ★■◆● them.

Yeah God forbid the military-industrial scum only have a single swimming pool full of cash to cavort in instead of two. Let's just keep chucking money at more toys to kill people, because using it for ★■◆● like healthcare is EVIL SOCIALISM.

actually, for the sake of accuracy, a check of Woody's numbers reveal:

The US has 406 ships, presently. Only 273 are considered part of the 'active' force, which is lower than a revised target of 312 that was established last year. We used to consider 385-410 the proper size. and without locating the specifics, we likely did have 600 or so ships at that time.

The point is, given the Navy has ships at Pensacola AND the largest Naval Base on the planet in Norfolk, we could and should have deployed a far more robust force, almost immediately to Puerto Rico and the USVI. We didn't evacuate anywhere NEAR the folks that should have been. Hell, when Pitbull is running an airlift with private planes, the Navy(with about 7000 planes) should have been doing far more, far quicker.
