I'm not going to defend this "deputy", he didn't even try, but just maybe this poor slob was outgunned and carried only a puny little Glock 9mm handgun in his arsenal, all to go up against someone spraying the place with an AR-15 and he froze? You can be sure he wasn't constantly carrying around a police-issue military style rifle in the school either. And all the NRA types think that if all our teachers were trained and packing, that would be the "solution".
