Well, don't judge. The Republicans wouldn't even give Obama's pick, Judge Merrick Garland, the chance at proving his worth in any conformation hearings, because they refused to hold any. They just pretty much just flipped him the bird as they showed him the door. In fact, I don't think Trump should have any ability to pick ANY SCOTUS nominee while he's under federal investigation. There is this little self preservation thing going on with Trump right now and Cavanaugh doesn't believe that a sitting president should be impeached. You can bet your bottom dollar if Hillary was president, the Republicans would be screaming the same thing while her email use was being "investigated" during the inevitable Republican witch hunt that would be going on right now.
