...just got a TON more real. All of the services you use on the internet and on your computer(s) and server(s) might be hobbled irreparably by SJWs...

In fact any and all services you use on the internet INCLUDING your phone/tablet/etc might be in jeopardy because coders that built linux may pull their code from the kernal legally if the SJWs try to impose their will over linux (via code of conduct rules.)

From what little I know, commits to the Linux kernel are done under some flavor of GPL. So you can't really go back and say that thing I committed two years ago is now private. The only ownership they have of code they've submitted is that any modification or derivative that includes their code also must have the source code published.

I'm guessing they're talking about future development work rather than nuking already submitted code. Maybe the version control system they use for source code allows authors to nuke their work? If so, that's crazy.

The version control system used for the Linux kernel, created by Linus Torvolds, is called GIT, which is also created by Linus Torvolds. Git is completely decentralized. A project can be forked thousands of times instantly. If anyone tries to mess with the Linux kernel the community will reroute immediately.

They can't pull their code. If they do, someone already has a copy of it, and they'll just improve on it. That's what open source is - and it's a violation of the GPL license.

I has nothing to do with pulling their code, and GPL isn't GPL. The code in question was granted under GLP version 2. Version 3 has a provision that prevents a contributor from rescinding their grant, but version 2 does not.

The code stays in, but anyone using it could potentially be sued for violation of the copyright. Get your facts straight, folks.
