What graphics cards are y'all using?

Post by Asrale »

Just bought this game the other day on Steam and love it!

However, I had to disable pretty much all of the advanced graphics effects to get a playable frame rate of about 40 fps. Which isn't terrible, but I'd like to be able to turn on at least a few of the effects and still get a playable frame rate. Any particular recommendations?

For reference, I'm using a relatively dated PC containing an Intel Core i7 920, 8GB RAM, and Nvidia GT 730 on Windows 7, at a resolution of 1600x1200.

I had a Geforce 970 4 gig but it died a month ago. Still ran the game fine.

Heyas. I don't think we've met but I think I know you by your music. Lyris, right?

I'm able to run Overload maxed out on the equivalent of an i5; with a GeForce 1060 (6gb); and, I think 12 gb of ram. So this game is not quite as demanding as Krom's specs make it look, if you're on a budget. :P

I have an i7 4790 with 16GB ram and a GeForce 1050 Ti.
I just have to disable Screen Space Reflections and I can run the game at 1080p 60 fps (a few drops to 50/55fps in certain levels) with everything else maxed out.

Heh that's right, that was a long time ago! I was pretty young back then too, I'm in my mid 30s now. :P

RX570. Pretty mid range but seems to run the game nicely. Was using an old GTX 750ti when it came out, that was only capable of low detail settings but amazingly had 60 FPS most of the time.

It was good stuff. I managed to save a few of your tracks from the old planetdescent's shutdown and I still listen to them sometimes.

Hunter, even though I can see your image better than on discord here, I still can't tell if you're supposed to be a jackal, a black serval cat, or something entirely different... can't even see your pupils well enough for a hint :(
Huh... I may be leaning toward the second now that I stumbled on what looks like a bigger copy of the image...

Yep, it's a (rare) melanistic serval captured in Tanzania.
