I have an idea for quantum gravity
I have an idea for quantum gravity
If I have time to learn what I need to learn so I can check to see if it works, and if I have time to submit a paper on it, I'll do it. Believe it or not I talked with Brian Greene and he said it works but I have to prove it for myself. I can't say it here for obvious reasons.
So look for me in the future if time permits!
What are your thoughts about quantum gravity or gravity in general?
by the way, I'm avoiding the flat earth explanation because it's too weird.

I await with bated breath.

Go to school for about 12 years. First, to get your grades up. Second, go to college, then university. Third, get your doctorate in the proper field. Fourth, spend some time in Academia, do some proper research and publish a paper.
Only then will the world listen to you.

Still jerking that troll boner after how many years?
Re: I have an idea for quantum gravity
See I knew I would get these kind of responses. The world will listen to me if I'm right.
Apparently you all never heard of Michael Faraday or Oliver Heaviside.

Yes, the world will listen to you if you are right.
Unfortunately since you are just another random jerk on the internet like the rest of us; the odds of you actually being right are basically zero. And even if you were right you clearly lack the resources to confirm it. Because what would it take? A particle accelerator? Some kind of quantum gravity sensor? Or some new piece of technology that hasn't even been invented yet?

Re: I have an idea for quantum gravity
I think the real question is -- who here actually knows your real name?
I know I don't.
But that's what a big research paper would be published under, isn't it?
Meaning even if everything you said was true, and you showed me your paper, and I actually was able to follow all the math and physics-y stuff... I still wouldn't have any reason to believe you.
And even if you told me a name that might be yours right now, I'd wonder -- is he just hedging his bets, and picking a false name to match somebody who might publish a paper on quantum gravity sometime soon?
So you see, you've played yourself into a corner that you can't get out of. An opening move that ensures you cannot ever win this game.

Never said I was going to use google. lol
I'm not a random jerk on the Internet. Figures none of you believe me. lol and of course you wouldn't believe if I gave you my name. So I just posted this to tell you not expecting a positive response from naysayers and haters.

Your name is irrelevant. Fact is you're just a sad little man looking for attention on a very old forum.
Perhaps it's time to end this silly game and retire Neo pointless threads.

Re: I have an idea for quantum gravity
Actually quantum phenomena would be good point to start for gravity. Classical gravity model is static and it is related to mass, therefore it not a result of a dynamics. However gravity could be result of a dynamics and still can be related to a conserved entity. It is interesting to evaluate energy mass equivalence here where mass is actually is confinement of the energy. So it could be possible that not the energy but its confinement could be source of the gravity (produced by a mass). While the confinement can cause the gravity, it could not be varied by the the confinement volume.
Re: I have an idea for quantum gravity
This is a longstanding idea already, right? Isn't the problem we don't have a way to test the theory because we can't build the theoretical particle accelerator needed because it would be too large and take too much energy?sudanamaru back wrote: ↑Fri Dec 24, 2021 5:13 amIt is interesting to evaluate energy mass equivalence here where mass is actually is confinement of the energy. Re: I have an idea for quantum gravity
I am not sure that physists are familiar with this idea or not but I found this Quora page about it:This is a longstanding idea already, right? I am doubting we need larger accelerators to test this idea. For example we dont still undetstand (at least accoring to textbooks) how a electromagnetic wave packet become photon when wavelength get shortened. This happens at pretty low energies.
Re: I have an idea for quantum gravity
Thanks for your input. That's a good idea and I also have to include the Higgs particle and the Higgs field.

I think the reflexive reactions are kind of un-called for. Why not humor him and who knows? Maybe learn something. You never know.
I for one hope you DO crack gravity once and for all. I wouldn't mind flying an actual RL pyro and getting my space wings. Try to avoid the whole ai revolt thing tho.

What? But without murderous AIs how will anything ever not be boring?
You never realize how much fun you're having, until suddenly you realize your life is in danger, and you think, "nobody could make this up!"
Or do you not want fun stories to tell the grandkits?
