I'm an expert on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict AMA

Post by SilverFJ »

This semester I graduate with dual bachelor's degrees from the University of Montana in the fields of anthropology and history, I'm an expert on the Middle East primarily concerning fundamentalist Islamic terrorism and its impact on the Levant. I speak fluent Arabic, hold seven academic commendations and am a UofM credentialed scholar. I begin my master's degree relating to Central, Southwest Asian and North African Counterterrorism in 2024.

I figured you would all still be in here arguing about stuff. :)

Can you translate what the crowds are chanting? It sounds like:
“Ha, hoe-hey! Hoe he hoe ha hoe hay!” and they keep repeating it. What does it mean and why do they blow people up over a religion and a human made god figure?

Ha, hoe-hey! Hoe he hoe ha hoe hey!

Given that the "H" and "L" often merge together in Arabic, the syllabic length of your description, and this just being a random guess as I don't know what crowd you're referring to I think they're probably actually saying "h'la ailha ih lla allah" = "there is no god but Allah" which is usually accompanied with "and his messenger is Muhammad", or "wa muhammadan rasul allah".

This statement, known as the "shahada", is key to the Muslim faith as it is the religion's conversion words I.E one says in earnesty and is then Muslim. It's one of the most common phrases in Islam and used for virtually everything including Muslim unity in protest, and is the statement one can find on both the Isis and Saudi Arabian flags.

People blow up over God figures all over the place whether they are of a religious Institution or the Intelligentsia of socialist movements, however fundamentalists are raised from birth to believe their religion and subsequently every single thing in life is framed in that context. While you were taught science and math and philosophy as a kid, many of these Muslim children learn only the Quran until they're about 12. Indoctrination is very real, and when the foundation is laid that early and that heavily and that uniformly you get explosive crowds at the very least in traumatic times.

I remember you SilverFJ from many years ago. I may have been a MeatPuppet, a {DmC}Meat, a TheCops, or a god knows what that week. But I remember your name.

Here’s the deal; I’m not an expert on the Middle East but I’m not the block head I’m portraying. I just think it’s funny to hear chanting as meter and timbre and not as words beyond shape. That’s what all that he ho ha ho hey bull★■◆● is about.

What’s really fascinating is that ISIL was Sunni slaughtering Shite like some methed out SS troops invading France running on speed and willingness to die for nothing - and now 5 years later they’re all buddies again to kill the “insects” that are lower than you but you’re not quite as bad but eventually when these are gone we’re going to exterminate you from the Levant but for now we’re buddies.

Ho he ho havho hey!!

Hey I remember you too. I think we got into it because I developed a drug problem. I don't quite remember I joined this board when I was 14 years old now I'm 37. To quote president Curtis "we've come a long way and buried a lot more than nuts."

And yeah, money and power determine who is enemies with who, I find it's hardly ever ethnic or religious reasons in the long run just convenient tools for the wealthy to manipulate the poor with. Hamas doesn't operate in Gaza, they live in seven star hotels in Qatar. Hamas is a pyramid scheme where the people at the bottom blow themselves up and the people at the top eat caviar.

Here's a question: What would likely happen if Israel tried to 'wipe clean' the entire Gaza strip (as suggested by a certain poster here). What would be the international response to this attempt at mass genocide?

This is an enormous question with a huge answer that might take another video let me make up some notes and get back to you, but it's going to be about geopolitics and the fact that Hamas is only one of Iran's proxy satellites.

I tried to find examples of it on the internet. I couldn't. I'm not trying to turn this into high school drum line lessons but that's the rhythm they are using to chant. I don't know if they are chanting "death to zionists, america, that's a damn fine glass of wine, let's skip the army and go after people in small villages with automatic weapons" ho he ho ha ho hey or what, but that's the rhythm I always hear.

I think that depends on how much the other countries surrounding Israel react to a major invasion and dislocation of the Northern Gaza Palestinians. I've heard that none of the neighboring countries want Palestinian refugees to come into their countries, especially Egypt. No one wants them. So does Israel force more of them into the smaller area of Southern Gaza, like they're doing now, try to destroy Hamas, then leave the resulting mess for the Palestinians to return to, wash, rinse, repeat and nothing's changed? Or do they stay and annex the area as part of Israel? I'm guessing that's what Netanyahu wants and what he sees as the best solution to the Palestinian problem, southern Gaza next. I see the annexation option of Gaza as the start of all out local war as the surrounding countries send into Israel their terrorist proxies to fight. But the question is, will these countries like Iran, Syria, Jordan, etc. settle with attacking Israel using only their proxies, or do they get fully involved and send in their own actual troops and equipment? Do they have the desire to get fully involved? That's the question and they have to weigh that decision knowing we and probably NATO will back Israel no matter what.

The big question is at what point does Israel use the 90+ nukes they have and to prevent that will the US send in troops?

Israel is now threatening to wipe Iran and Lebanon off the face of the earth. You can bet they won't be using tanks and soldiers to do it either. The countdown to WWIII just got closer.
