well the pc version is cheeper + PC can Play with Ps2

IIRC with a world pass u can invite up to 5 people on one pass

Might need that card, too, depending on what's in the computer in the first place.

(Though even my "unsupported" 64MB (shared) Radeon 320 IGP does well. Not as well as the 128MB 9200 in the desktop, but still very well considering.)

hehe, I ran the FFXiBench a while back, and it made me cry at how pitiful my IGP did. Around 2000 on low-res, and 1000-something on high-res, while the high-res on the 9200 comes in at close to 3000.

I run teh game in 800x600 with full detail, shadows and weather effects off.

I used to have everything to full, but now theres so many n00bs with the damn ps2 version that every area is super overcrowded. So i had to shut off detailed shadows, weather effects and any non-party, non-self spell/skill effects to make the game playable.

The lag from all the ppl is just rediculous.

W00t! LB2 Complete! What a pain it was. A few lvl 68 folks hellped us. They picked up my BLM AF1 as well. Kinda lame it is only MP+20. But now I can do AF2! (sigh)

Oh and I fianlly finished 3/4 RSE for my WHM sub.

hey i got my PS2 version when it 1st came out

but im glad theres a flood so i might beable to get my SMN to 20 so i can get the hell out of the dunes

No kidding dude you have some fasination with that place, taking 3 jobs through there in a month.

You peeps need to get this game and come rock with us. It is a little discouraging at lower levels because everyone is still learning their jobs/role. But after lvl 30 or so PT's seem to go much more smoothly.

F**k the dunes. I levelled my black mage to 18 in Shakrami soloing Maze makers. I can't stand the newbs in the dunes. Warriors never provoke off the mages, no one knows how to skill chain, even after I tell them 40 times what it's supposed to be. Levelling my red mage in Yhoator right now... pain in the ass goblins keep decimating all the parties. If peeps get aggroed, they just zone them instead of calling for help so we can get rid of em.

This game is awesome, until it needs to be updated... and yeah, that takes all day because i CAN'T FU*KING CONNECT TO THE SERVER!

i have a character on titan still, i just got tired of always palying with people i didnt know. nobody wanted to party and i was pretty much stuck. this was before the ps2 version came out though.

I tell ya what though the major thing that kills this game is leveling after 50. The amount of time you need to party to level one freaking level is just madning.

I have more fun killing trains in Qufim and Valkurm.

It just gets boring sometimes. Takes 4 hours to get a high lvl PT, or 3 seconds to get the worst low level PT of your life.

Well I finally took the plunge and bought an Ice Staff. Only took 1 week for farming.

It helps quite a bit in damage. I was told by a lvl 75 I could slack a bit on the dark staff since I have Clear Mind 3.

And Warlock finally got out of Kazham!

Sure dude, it is simple, but VERY boring. All I did was farm in Pashhow Marshlands. I killed Crawlers (silk), Water Wasps (chips), Goobbues (Cuttings, moss, bulbs), the Jolly Green NM (Shaman's belt), Thunder Elementals (Lghtn. Clusters) and Thread Leeches (Beastman Blood).

I have a lvl 15 thf sub as well so I stole Silver Beastcoins from Muggers/Gamblers/Leechers. And they drop Synthing armor as well. Also 2 hit kills on the Ambushers for Animal Glue. If the marshes got too crowded I just moved on to Rollenbery Fieilds, but more down time there since the mobs are harder.

That and a tad bit of mining in Gusgen for Darksteel and Gold.

If you are feeling brave you can kill Garnet Quadavs in Beadauex. They drop Scroll of Reraise, Lvl 31 Maul and assorted other lower lvl Whm Spells. I took them on at lvl 51, not too bad but the link will get you killed. I came close once but another farmer saved me by pulling it off me.

And I hit lvl 52 last night

Well when TH works it is a blessing, however it seems broken more often than not.

And while I was out farming today I watched my first Ballista match. As Warlock would say "Rapega". Funny stuff seeing a Hume Provoke a Galka and a Taru having a distortion skill chain performed on him.

IMO Ballista's just a waste of gil.

RNGs and BLMs own ballista anyway.

My PLD'd be in the 60's now if I'd actually lvl once in a while.
I've been lvl'ing a lot of other jobs lately...

up to lvl 61drk, 40rng and other misc 30+ jobs. Got my haubergeon which ran me 1.15 million. Working on finishing off the shadowlord for rank 6. Other then that, just kind of bumming around the server and helping nooblets.

Final Fantasy got its name from Square being on the edge of closing down from bad profits from its first series of games (Rad Racer, etc.)

So they named it Final Fantasy because they belived it would be the last game they published before going out of buisiness.

I just deleted my character and closed my account like two or three weeks ago.

I had no idea so many people from the descent community were into this game, I would never had thought you guys would pay to play a game.

I was Lobber, the cutest little red headed Tarutaru you've ever seen, and I was level 18 when I deleted him. I'm getting out of online playing, I just cannot spare the time playing due to having a gamers addiction to the net.

I can't remember what server I was on, not like they went out of their way to inform you of the name of the servers or which one you even get to play on.

Just got my Ranger advanced job the other day

30 Red mage. It's a tough job, but I can sit in parties and essentially do NOTHING and still look like I'm an integral part of the group

A cure spell here, a slow spell there, plink away at the enemy with my sword a few times... No one even knows I'm there until I magic burst the skill chains then it's all "Damn! NICE!"

Well Stingy, when you get Refresh and Dispel, you will get your workout. Rdm's are key to eliminating down time at later lvls.
