D3 Install messes up

Post by El Ka Bong »

What's teh Quick fix for this fumble:

on A "new" p3-700, Win-XP I bartered for, with all the video basics for D3, I get an error saying:

"Invalid CD rom ... "

.. after installing d3, trying to run ver. 1.0..

And when I try to upgrade to ver. 1.4 I get another error; something to the effect of .. "unable to overwrite..." and upgrade is cancelled. ...

I uninstall, reinstall and same errors... What's the "invalid CD rom" story ?

)-0 .. or how do you type it...O-o ... no, i mean ... 0_o !

Ok this is boring , but has anyone else encountered the

"Invalid CD rom" error message as soon as one tries to start D3, right after installing ver 1.0 ... Is it Win XP that's getting stuck, or something I forgot to do / undo ..?
