Yeah... it's not that much. But Descent 3 certainly isn't dead either. =)

I'm going to a LAN this weekend so that's why I'm stopping my data collection tonight.

Just because you don't play anymore doesn't mean D3 is in a coma. ;)

add a few, lets say 20 to 30, from europe (netherlands, germany, england, denmark, norway, sweden, finnland mostly) and some from australia and new zealand. they all dont play at 9pm est ;)

and even more who dont play regulary, but once in a while and that for years now. still a lil bit depressing but hey if i want to play, i allways find a game, thats enough for me.

what i find strange is some of the multiplayer-levels have really high download counts.subwaydancer for example was downloaded 4200 times from fischleins site alone. alot others have between 300 and 1000. even some newer levels then sd.

Looks like a poll might be in order. I'd be curious to know how many users of the DBB actually play the game. There certainly seems like a ton more readers than players.

After finishing ALL the levels of D3 (for the 3rd time) and killing Dravis, I finally decided to try multi for the first time. . . last month.

I suspect a lot of people loooove that game, and will try multi in a bored experimental moment. Seeing sites like this in google searches helps a lot.

PS - I never tried the add-on pack levels, so you all like them or not?

Actually, I was thinking of when there were a couple of hundred people playing as apposed to barely 50.

I know it's not dead. But it could use some viagra.

Some great new levels have come out recently.

I personally tend to go through cycles where I get really into Descent , burnout, go to other games, burnout, come back to Descent (Lather, rinse, repeat)...

Been playing since 1995. Bought a computer which came with the demo bundled with it. Bought the game (better than Quake/Doom). Joined a local BB so that I could play with other people, died alot. Was introduced to KALI, died alot. Bought Descent II, died even more. Bought Descent 3, continue to die but am now able to take a few of you with me.
