LEET HACKORS PLZ APPLY; Need help

Post by Vertigo 99 »

Ok, so circa 1997-98 when i first started browsing the interweb, i made an ICQ account. Although it is not quite as low numbered as some other ones ive seen, its low numbered enough so i want to KEEP it (its 7 digits.

Problem is, i forget what the password to the account is. However, I have ICQ installed, and the password is in ICQ's "memory," as in when i start ICQ it auto-logs in. Now, I need a way to tap into ICQ's memory or registery files or whatever and find out WTF the password is; is there anyway to do this???

Hell, tool like dsniff (unix, no idea about windows) will do the work for you.

umm...

if you can log in successfully onto icq... you can change your password from inside icq.

If you have the DAT file, you should be able to get the password. There are several cracking tools out there to let you extract it.

If you can get the asterisks somewhere, just use a prog like Asterwin to reveal it.
