I would like to see my computer from a friend's and visa versa.
He has a Belkin 54g router and I have a Linksys.
I know the port and the ip address but can't seem to make it work.
I am using "Remote Administrator".
On Belkin's website they have the "Firewall virtual server" page that has a 2 boxes for "Inbound port", a "Type" lilk TCP, "Private IP address and "Private port".
What settings do I need to enter?
The RadMin program works inside the router from one of my computer to another but not outside the router.

I'm trying to see my computer from his and visa versa.
Does that make us both hosts?
In "Radmin" it gives me the port and I just have to add the IP address.
Is that the port I would use in the Forward area?

On the above Forward info, where do I enter the port. "Inbound" or "Private port"?
Sorry, this is all "Greek" to me.

Are you trying to see his drives or folders? Like file sharing? If so, then you have to add "File & printer sharing" in your NETWORK icon of the control panel. Then you must SHARE the drives/folders then you can double click your network neighbourhood and browse for your friends PC.
Is this what you want?

"Radmin is an award-winning multifunction remote control program. Radmin enables you to remotely monitor or work on one or more network computers right from your own workstation. It is a complete remote control solution with such features as File Transfer, NT security, Telnet and Multilanguage Support built-in."
I'm trying to take control of his computer from mine and visa-versa.
Here's the programs website http://www.famatech.com/

if you want have control over your friends computer with radmin, he needs to intall the serverpart of r-admin, you need to start the client part of radmin.
(client controls server)
in the radmin client part you put in the ip of your friend and try to connect. be sure your friend has the default port forwarded on his router (4889, i think)
