It's a .223. I actually purchased it for my 13 year old daughter who won't let me shoot my own rifles. We go to the field and she begs me to shoot.. It doesn't leave me much shooting time between waiting for her and letting the barrel cool.
This should solve my problem.

For those of you who can't read between the lines, it's really an excuse to buy another rifle. I can sell the idea to my wife by telling her it's for our daughter.

I would be completely up for everyone owning knives and no guns. Ever tried to kill someone with a knife? It's quite a bit different than standing 1000 yards away and looking through a scope.
