We are currently 2/3 Full for the April LAN! Sign up now, because I'm opening up registration to fill empty seats. I'd rather have Descenters than Quakers!
PayPal Pre-Pay option for Registration fees will close April 1st for this LAN. If you want to save some cash, take care of it before then!
We have a new Fridge for the garage, Full size with an ice dispenser. This thing will hold all the drinks we need! Thanks to Mayhem for hooking us up!
New Network Equipment! I've been so busy lately, I think I forgot to tell you guys about the new switches! I've replaced the two 10/100 D-link switches in the garage with a set of 3com fully managed 10/100 with gigabit backplane! There is also an 800Meg up-link to the house, and a gigabit link to the fileserver.
Anyone that has won a trophy over the past 2 LANs please contact me... I'm getting ready to go over and beat up my trophy maker this week, and I'm trying to get your call-signs engraved on them for you. Again... Sorry about the delay!

OK, then I'm all set. I'll pay at the door.

I forgot to send a check for that card, Clutch, I was going to send it and the reg fee, but who knows where that email went, and I havn't thought about Descent in a long time. (I didn't get posting privledges until the other day on this board, actually)

Side note: That card you sent doesn't work in my machine. Seems odd, 'cause it worked when I was there. That makes 4 cards. I even replaced the power supply. So I'll be bringing 4 V5's with me!

Two questions though. How do you manage a) Computer rentals? and b) Trophies?

Do you rent the computers yourself from your personal computers or do you have a company do it? And how expensive are the trophies to get? Where do you get them? (Note I haven't looked at your website yet, but I'm going to, if this info is on there I apologize in advance).

A) They are my personal computers. They come from upgrades and builds that I do for people.

B) My neighbor is one of the sponsors, he makes small trophies. (Even though he has kind of frelled us on the last 3 LANS, and will no longer have network access if he does it this time!

Dammit, I totally forgot to say something early last week.

I can't go, I found out on Monday. So I'm going to ship you your card back (Along with the other three, if they work, keep'em) instead of bringing the cash for it and the entrance fee.

Sorry for the late notice, but I just found out recently. At least you're full up so I'm not ruining anything by not being there. Enjoy the fun, and I'll be around for the next one (With new car, too)!
