Post by Davidcline »

I am REALLY close to getting back on descent. Finally, figured out the connection problem...now I can see an address in multiplayer. It seems my hangup now is that it says,

fail to open mn3 line 0

So what is up with this...what am I missing...any help

thanks

You don't have the mission the server is running. The autodownload doesn't work when the game is autolaunched.

I went to the missions and downloaded the level BEFORE joining the game? For example, on the mission abend2...I downloaded that level...made sure it was in the mission folder and then tried to join. What else am I missing. Thanks

this error is caused by a corrupt .mn3 file. find another source to d/l the mission from.

Did you unzip the .mn3 file from the .zip file before you put it in your missions directory?

I unziped the file into the missions3 directory. Right now I am having less trouble with this and more trouble with my other note. I get to the multiplayer screen...I put in an address...it shows the game....I click join....and then my computer says it fails to load the module. If you have a suggestion for this let me know....if all else fails I will uninstall D3 and reinstall the game from the CD....I suspect that I would then have to patch with the 1.4 again? Or do I have to patch 1.2 to 1.3 to 1.4??

I am hoping someone has a simple solution for this failure to load module thing.

Uh-oh, we've got another DC running around here. :D

"Unable to load module" means it can't load the MOD that the server is running. You might want to re-install. Also, if you're running the Dual-Jewel version from Interplay, you'll want to grab the Dual-Jewel patch, not (or in addition to) the regular 1.4 patch.
