So is there any way I can make my self custom plent terrains in d3 edit that i can fly around on like in most D3: retribution levels?

Create a 256x256 grayscale PCX file. White is highest, black is lowest. Import this into D3Edit.
Complicated? Yeah, we know.

thx for that tip but what i really meant was can i raise and lower terrain in d3 edit do i need a patch for it to do so cuz in the help file it says it doesnt support it

Nope, it can only be done through importing a PCX file. One of the biggest limitations of D3Edit.

OH I THINK I GET IT NOW!!!
i make the pcx and use the values of the whites and blacks so i can create terrains using microsoft paint!!!!
if thats it thx i know the rest

actually its alot easier i think if i make a pcx in the gimp paint program and then bump map it okay i got it now thx alot!

Last I knew, that one also relied on PCX import and export to change elevations.

How do you punch holes in terrain again?
I haven't used D3edit in a while and forgot a lot of stuff.

Alt-click to select the terrain cell, then click the "toggle vis" button in the terrain toolbar (TR button).
On a side note, reviving old threads doesn't score points with mods.
