I saw it- I didn't think it was that bad- I didn't have all that great of expectations for it, though. They certainly gave humans too much credit. If I had been the P I would shot first and asked questions of the chick later.

If you see AvP with low expectations and expect 90 minutes of eye candy, you'll come out winning instead of losing. If you expect minor details like "story," "plot," "character development," "continuity," "good directing," and the like, you're guaranteed to lose. Being an enormous fan of both film francises, I can only hope that AvP makes enough that some better directors take the helm of a sequel to either this one or either of the two original series'. Paul W.S. Anderson makes entertaining films, but not good ones, if that makes sense.
