Problem viewing the DBB.

Post by catch22 »

I'm writing this post from a computer at work.

For the life of me, I cannot get the DBB to show up at home. Keeps throwing up the MSN serach page stating it can't find the site. I tried using the ip address only to get the same message. It's obviously not down.

Anyone have thoughts on the issue?

Clean out your temp internet files.

Open your HOSTS file and make sure (if you have) the DBB entry either points to the right addy or delete the entry.

For sh*t's and giggles type www.descentbb.net and see if youhad it correctly.

This kind of thing happens quite often to me. Since I'm too lazy to edit the HOSTS file, I just hit CTRL+O and open the page that way. :P

Don't forget to set your browser to check for updated copies of sites everytime instead of "when the page is out of date" or "Automatically" if you're still using IE.
