Re. Descent Poll

Post by Arol »

This might be a been-there-done-that question. But has anyone ever taken a favorite Descent Poll? I mean 1-2-3? :?:
If no, and interested would someone mind setting one up. I'm still new at this and would'nt know how.
Reason I'm asking is that I'm getting near the end of D3, and it just doesn't seem to have the old magic 1 and 2 had.

Oh, there have been plenty such polls. But the response you get inevitably depends more upon how long the respondents have been around than whether one game or another was actually better; people tend to vote for the one they've played the most of.

I've played D3 more then D1 or D2. I like D1 the best.

I dont know why everyone thinks D1 is the best. Methinks D2 is the best in the series. Its like D1 but enhanced. The level designs were great. I especially love the cutscenes too. :) Mayby because my first Descent game was D2.

I used to play D1 everyday on my companies LAN back in '95-'97. That the best. D3 online (still havn't been to a LAN) is good, but nothing beats D1 in my opinion.

I didn't have internet back when D1 was out, so all my online play was D2. I didn't even play any D3 to speak of, really. I have a few PXO hours with the demo's, but I never quite played online with the retail version.

My vote goes to D2, but like Sirius said, it's because it's the game I've most played and all good memories come from.

Arol, did you know you can post polls? This is one of the few legitimate uses for one. :D

I'd definitely have to say D2. I started with D2, (well, I had played a bit of D1 shareware before that) and could never go back to D1 after that. D3 totally dropped the edgy mood that I love.

I have D2 and played a little SP and a little MP over a LAN but I always found it a bit clunky. Never really got into it.

D3 multi = #1
D2 multi = #2
D1/2 single = #1

With me it was a piece of D1 shareware that set the hook just as D2 was coming on the market. Then I bought D2, and I was solidly hooked. Still havn't tried multi, as I'm waiting till later this year, when our co-op gets around to installing broadband in all our units.

When you post a new thread, under the submit/preview buttons you have the option to create a poll.
