I've been running the GUI ver. and haven't had any trouble with it.
Jim you say the GUI version tends to be limited, in what way is it limited to the console version?

I just finished a work unit and ZoneAlarm popped up asking for me to allow it or not. I allowed it but the WU has not been registered. Is there some lag between registration of a WU or did I screw the pooch?

I set up the console as Stresstest instructed, but when the program started running, my PC started making a God-awful high-pitched whining noise. It sounded like a fan was revving up to some insane speed. I have a P4 3.0 GHZ with hyper-threading enabled. Even beyond the capacity for damage, that sound is enough to make me stop using the thing :P.

Well lets see about my rundown..

My 2700 Is working on its 9th unit and due to terrible net connectionshas not been able to transmit its last one or two work units to the results server, so they might not get transmitted until tomorrow when they fix the damned internet in here.

My 1.2G laptop should have its first work unit done in a few hours, it also has a quasi-stable net connection so it should be able to register it sometime tonight.

My p3 router is 84% completed with its current work unit (third one I believe) and will probably not be able to transmit it to the work server because it has a very wonky connect right now (and it does the routing for both my 2700 and my 450).

My 450 got assigned some kind of crazy sized work unit and wont be done with it until....September 10th or the 11th :P!!!

Just thought I'd letyou guys know where I'm at so you dont think Im getting nonproductive on the team :P

Guess it not updated for 502 yet it's looking for 500 or is there a way around that?

my two are air cooled and are running cooler than that :o

it pays to have a small A/C Return duct pulling all that hot air right from my cases, and a small box fan feeding cool air directly towards my two PC's off a A/C register

I think I figured out why my computer's going nuts...it's over 80 in my dorm, and the damn thing is trying to keep itself from overheating. It's making the same noise during FS2. I've already had 1 or 2 BSODs that I think were caused by something in there. God, I miss AC :P

I might be in control of some always-on computers in my colleges labs, one of which will be a P4 2.8. If thats the case, they'll be folding for me. I'll also see about getting a few of my friends to either join the team or just run the client with my name on it. I'm also gonna put this on my aunt's computer the next time I visit them. I might also be getting another computer sometime this year, and I'll add that.
