Help servers Nic dieing

ok im running a domain controler and its NIC is dieing cause it just stops talking, well my question is this.

how can i replace the card and not loose my domain settings cause i dont want to half to rebuild all that cause its just a ★■◆● ya know

are we talking Internet Domain controler or Windows domain controller?

Is Windows allowed to turn off the card to save power? There should be a setting for that in the card's power management properties.

no power savers at all

onley power saveingit does is spins the fans down from 10k RPM to 1k RPM when its cool enough at night and when the power goes out the server spinds downs the drives in both arrays and the front back plane untill power is back.

well i got it to take the new card and its running much smoother

onley prob i ran in to is i put it in the same spot as the old nic and the system wouldent power up but when i put it in my bottem pci it fired up kinda odd but im not bitching
