I agree with the first comment on the Deviant board. Your perspective and parallelisim (is that a word?) needs a lot of work. However. If this is the way you draw, with a good deal of practice and refinement, it could be a very unique and cool stylization.
Keep working with the highlighting and take a look at how other anime is highlighted. I recommend Kyouryuu's work for some very excellent examples.
Much "highlighting" is actually done, not with white brushing, but with a different color that is lighter or heavy contrasting black lines for metal reflection with white between 2 of them. Many pix with banded metal use this gimick.
