Has anyone gotten D1x 1.30 or even 1.40 to work in XP?

I use d1x1.43_oglmw.exe and it works just fine. (GFFX5200)

My D1x.ini looks like this...

I still use my standard gameport SW3dPro and all the functions work properly. Twists/hat/etc...

Haven't needed to use the compatibility option but perhaps thats why when I quit a game in Kali it hangs and sometimes takes forever to finally close D1 and re-enter chat *shrug*.

Don't know if this will help any. I do have some info if any of you are having problems with your joysticks using the twist option in D2x if you are still playing any D2.

Jeff250 and I released a fix for the twists not working correctly due to poor axis settings in D2x that is hosted on PD -

The pilots already have the most commonly used settings with the twist pre-defined, all you have to do is put in all your other settings and just leave the axis config alone once you find the .plr file that applies to you and rename it to whatever you want it to be named in Windows. Has a readme with more info if/when you need it.

Thanks for the information. I got it working doing some whacky thing. I put the throttle (the little slider) in the middle, and then I was able to get the twist to work. I guess by having it all the way down, it was giving that signal to D that it should be the bank.
I've tried looking for a game, not even too sure how to anymore, last night on kali. but nada...least from what I can see. I saw Duper on, but he seemed busy, so I didnt wanna bother. OH well, soon I shall play D1 again!

Wow! Neitzl is having the same problems I am (Sure sucks being a newbie again...)!
