Odd windows problem

This may sound pretty stupid, but anyway:


A few months ago all of a sudden windows began sorting ever folder in reverse alphabetical order in the open file/save as dialog for no reason at all. I checked folder options and such, but there was no clear reason why it would have happened in the first place. Has this happened to anyone else, or what can I do to revert everything to normal? Changing the folder view is only temporary, and it resets back to reverse order every time the dialog is reopened.

..So, is there anything that can be done about it? It's mostly just an annoyance, but it is starting to drive me crazy. Thanks in advance

Click on the title button in the right side of explorer (under detail view), then try going into folder options and saying all folders like current folder.

Yay! Someone who has same problem as me. Thought I was going crazy!

But wait! I have an answer that *may* work for you.... After I got sick and tired of constantly resetting folder views, re-installing, I found out where that info is stored in the registry. After a fresh install, I exported them and whenever things get fubared, I just double click a few .reg files, set the folder views back the way I like them, and I'm good to go for another couple months.

Basic gist of it is to copy and paste each of the above(not including the bold filename) into notepad and save with the filename indicated in bold. Then, double-click to add to your registry.

And..One note of caution, I am using XP Pro and can not guarantee that this won't totally fubar your system. I can tell you this works like a charm for me everytime but *use at your own risk*
