Your first car.
Well, after 34 years of not driving I got my G1 license. This is a restricted license for 1 year.
-no driving between 12-5am
-no driving alone. must have someone with 4 yrs excp or more in front seat.
-all passengers MSUT wear a seat belt.
-can't drive on freeways (min 4 lane highways)
-no DUI (duh)
Level 2 comes 8 months (if you take a driving course) or 1 yr if you don't.
Level 2 is the same as a full license but you can't DUI (duh again) or have any major infractions.
My mom sold me the car she got from her aunt.
1994 Toyota Camry LE V4
No Rust
No Accidents
Mint Condition
66,000 KMs
List of every repair ever done on car.
Power doors, windows locks.
Automatic
Starter
no cig burns
Hardly winter driven or highway driving (only my mom did the highway driving)
My mom put 30,000KM on the car in 3 years of having it.
Car is a dream to drive and I got accustomed to it within 1 hour.
I've finished my theory classes today and now have 10 hours of driving with the school before I can book an appointment to take my road test to go from my G1 to the G2 license.
I can't believe I waiting this long to get my license.
So, what was your first car?
Oh, BTW, amazing how many people DON'T know how to drive.

I can't believe you didn't drive either.
My first car was a beat up looking Chevy Sprint, 2 door hatch-back, blue. It had a 5-speed manual transmission, manual door locks, manual window elevator levers, and a vent that blew whatever temperature air was coming from outside, or warmer if you turned a little knob on the dash to HOT.
It was a fun car. My dad bought it for me for graduation, for $1200. It started with alot of problems. The first thing I had to do was get a new fender for it, and second I had to have the radiator "rodded out" so that it would not overheat. Later, I had to replace the transmission system three times over the course of its life, that last time I had had enough, and sold it.
It had a 1 liter, 3 cylinder engine, and it's top speed was 90 MPH. I know, I tested it. I think that's what killed the transmission. Or the fact that one time I had 4 girls in it with me and we went to a secluded place to hike over to horsehair, angelhair, horse angel, who knows, I can't remember the dang name now, but some remote falls on the Oregon side in the Gorge. Anyways, it was a LOW RIDER with all those girls with me.
And it was broken into there. Did you know you can open the lock of the side door by sticking a screwdriver in the keyhole and pushing up and down violently? Well, I found out when we returned, because it had been broken into and all of the girls belongings were stolen, schoolbooks, backpacks, shoes, everything. Of course, every other car parked there had their things stolen as well, but they lost windows. At least my car was so easy to break into all I had to replace was a door lock. Next time I go to a remote hiking site and park like that, I think I'll just hike up a nearby hill with a sniper rifle and scope, and wait for those thieves to hit again.
That would be fun! j/k

34 years without driving?
First car I drove was a 62 Chevy Bel Air 4 door hardtop in baby blue with white top. Straight 6 engine, 3 on the tree.
That thing was nearly indestructable and you could really pack a lot of people in it (bench seats were great on dates) and huge trunk.
I accidentally ran it into a three foot deep ditch at about 50 mph one day on a dirt road ("ditch jumping" was the activity) and it survived with only some scrapes on the trim moulding.
No one noticed.

'77 Thunderbird my parents gave me. It was just a few years old when I got it and I drove it for two years. In that two years I ran into the back of a VW bus, the side of a '74 Caddy, jumped the curb at 7-11 and took out two newspaper stands, rearended a mid-70's station wagon and wrecked some dudes motorcycle that tried to make a right on the side of me. Every car I hit was totaled and the only thing that ever happened to my car was a scratched fender and a broken turning signal lens. I swear that car was a battle wagon.

First 3-series, mine is a 320 from 1980. Has an in-line six 2.0 litre with quad-barrel downdraft carb. 122HP. It is still first owner (my mom bought it new and she is still listed as driver for insurance reasons). In spring 2002 the cylinder head cracked (they are prone to), so that's when I got into car and motor tinkering. I fixed the engine, and soon bought a second, third and fourth car (all same model). I'm currently building the fourth for track use, with 2.7 liter engine, rollcage, slick tyres, track suspension, etc.

My first car was/is a sea green '97 Ford Escort. Remote keyless entry just for the driver's door and manual locks for everyone else. (This has to be the dumbest design decision I've ever seen; you have to lean over the passenger's seat to open their door .) Manual window roolling, a 4-cylinder engine, and a cassette deck/radio . On the plus side, it does have A/C, and good A/C, too. It also has power steering and anti-lock brakes. It's got some pep to it, even with the small engine, probably because the whole car is so light that you could practically pick it up . The thing needs some coaxing to get up hills, though. I got this car last year from my grandmother. However, since I still don't have my driver's license at age 18 (I've had a permit for a year and a half ), I don't really drive it too much.
Edit: Here's a good pic of one. It's funny, when looking the car up at eBay Motors to find a pic, I found a whole bunch of body kits for Escorts. Who in their right mind is going to rice up this car?

Except mine was a 4 door and had the 455 cubic inch engine. When I had it gas was almost 2$ a gallon and it sucked gas like crazy. Then the ac broke and the only the right side back seat window would roll down, which sucked when it was 95-100 degrees down here in GA.

I paid $250.00 for it in 1985. That thing was so beat up and wore out that when I pulled it in the back yard (Smoking like mad), my sister freaked out screaming "Oh my God! he bought Christine!) She wouldn't walk in front of that car under any circumstance! It was pretty funny to watch her jump the fence every once in a while. She never told me why she was doing that until many years after the car was safely beneath a crusher.

1987 Chevy Nova, 4 door, 1.6L w/5 speed manual, manual seats and windows, no ABS or airbags, nonworking AC, 155/R13 tires. A beater in every sense of the word. On the front you can see where the hood was mangled from a wreck 3 years prior to the pic. I paid a guy 30 bucks to beat on it with a sledgehammer so I could open and close the hood normally.
But man, I loved that piece of ★■◆● In a way, its really fun having a POS car that you can beat the hell out of.
Currently driving a 2000 Nissan Sentra SE, which is the first car that I've owned.
