Better late then never! : )

Post by Duper »

ok ok....

I know it's been talked about WAY more than once, but I Finally went and grabbed the Mozilla "suite".

Dudes! I agree about the whole tabs thing. ... Dudes!

There's only a couple things I'd like to see fixed/ changed.

1) when arranging my bookmarks, you can not drop and drag to copy, only to move. Right clicking in the clear field of a folder does nothing. You must click on an exsisting link to "paste". So, in a new folder you must move one or create one however you see fit then you can copy others in. ....I know.. why would I want to copy a link rather than just move it. ... it's a filing thing and paper pushing habit.

2) you can't apply your own icons to your bookmarks. these are small stuff and unimportant, just tweeks I would like to see.

any advice to a mozilla newb?

Bah, I hate mozilla. Reminds me far too much of nutscrap 4.7
Firefox isn't bad though. I use that on my linux box.

Indeed, firefox is better than mozilla, but I still don't like it as far as useability goes compared to IE, but that's just my opinion.

Usability? In what regard?

My only complaints thus far with Firefox is it's initial loading time, and that I can't delete the Bookmarks Toolbar Folder.

Other than that, it's perfect. I don't have flash installed, so I see none of those irritating flashing commercials, and Firefox doesn't CONSTANTLY REMIND ME THAT ACTIVEX IS DISABLED. @#$%ing stupid IE. I havn't had a popup, a Gator prompt, my start page changed, favorites menu altered, or any of the BS that IE is so happy to allow. The only thing where I need IE is my job's intranet.

firefox IS mozilla. It's a newer version, but at it's core they are the same.

I think there's an actual browser named Mozilla as well as the Firefox one. I dunno... I just use the fox.

There is, and I'm using it right now.

Keyboard shortcuts, or lack thereof...
Bookmarks are annoying to work with.
Annoying 5-button mouse support (or non-support).

I like being able to open 6 sites at once as a homepage. There are number I hit the minute I get home. This is just a lot less hassle.

Still Defender, if you like IE that's cool. I'm just enjoying the change and some of the different features. ... like i said. Skins. :)

I use IE for regular browsing and firefox for my gerbil pr0n  (I have both, as should you all)

but in reality.. they both work very well, firefox has quite a few addl features(that can be had in IE) but it's design and workflow are archaic.

Thow away IE and never use it again!

http://update.mozilla.org/extensions/mo ... 95&vid=660

Well, all it does is launch IE to do Windows Update, but you can now remove all references to IE in Windows (Add/Remove programs).
