The "Start Net game blah blah blah udp crashes the game. Multicast isn't gonig to work and niether is IPX.
I tried Diesls version off his site but I can;t even get eh game running. It comes tot he pilot sceen and the game quite.

Anyone have any Ideas?

network support was discussed ad nauseum. but it was never looked at. the coder kept blaming other things rather than looking at his own product.

Yea I noticed that. Another guy and I poured over the forum looking for something but the best we came up with was a big "Shrug". IPX via Kali works great, but as I stated, the net option CTD's .. that's REALLY bad in coding IMO. >: |

I'm also getting a bit frustrated at the number of "modified" 0.2.5 versions out there. There are like 4; 1 or 2 claim the 2.6 title. I there any way to centralize the project? I know that is what the source site is about; someone works on it and postes it for the others to look at and discuss and tweek.

Come on guys. We have a product here that is near to perfect. Lets not trip in front of the finish line. KEEP IT TOGETHER! :)

Actually D2x is far from perfect :P

You might want to get in touch with Diedel. I thought I remembered him talking about working on D2x code but I'm not sure if it was the network side or not. Probably more in other areas.

It's really funny that D1x and D2x code was upgraded to conform with more modern standards but now even the upgraded networking code in it is out of date and conflicting it seems.
