New install, Update to patch 1.4 not working.

I figure since PXO is down so is the auto-update feature. How do I manually update to version 1.4?

Take a look here, and download the patch that matches your version of D3. Note that if you bought D3 in the US, and the US 1.4 patch doesn't seem to work, the Australian patch probably will; some of the copies of D3 sold in the US were actually the Australian. Also note that, if you bought the D3/Merc dual-jewel version from Interplay's online store, you'll have to run the dual-jewel fix, also downloadable from the above link, before you run the US 1.4 patch.
