Python 22
Python 22
what exactly is this used for?
i see its a programming source, but is it totally needed for a user like me, who does virtually no programming at all?

Plebeian wrote:I'm assuming it's for Python. Python is an interpreted language akin to Perl, and any program that uses it will need the libraries installed in order to work. So assuming it's a library you're seeing somewhere on your system, you may actually need it for one of your programs.
its listed in my programs list. i was just wondering if it was really needed. my primary programs drive is getting pretty full
(mostly FS2k2 (278 planes) and 2k4 aircraft(214 planes))
and i was going through my lists and taking off whats old, doesnt work, isnt needed ETC ETC>>

just wanted to throw in a bit of life info there.
see, DC just won a car with his answer. A NUUUUU CAAAAAAR!@!!@
you gotta know stuff about stuff, and things, if you refuse to take an interest in new things so that you can learn general knowledge then you're what the world calls a PERMA-NOOB.
one who never learns anything of consequence.
i used to know a kid who knew everything about fishing, mig welders, fire extinguishers and four wheel motorbikes. he was seriously imbalanced, and no-one liked him, he was creepy. i'm not sure what he's doing now, i hope he got some drugs or something.
moral of the story:
it is recommended that when you want or need to know something, you should research around with google, and read on teh subject for at least a set amount of time. perhaps 15minutes, perhaps an entire day.
but don't do it with only a few subjects.
don't ONLY read about military aircraft and cats and military cats and cat aircraft. read about everything. tangental reading, go from subject to subject to subject.
and you will win the game of life
Let's keep it on the topic of "Can Ace delete this?" and leave the topic of "Is Ace an idiot" for other forums.
Ace, I haven't seen anything myself that actually installs Python with an entry in the Programs list, but it is possible that some application you've installed needs Python libraries, and this is how it installed them (by installed a Python package in addition to its own).
You can always delete it, and see if any of your programs start dying on you, and then download a new package of Python and install that.
