Sinclair Broadcast Group...that would be, what.... "SBC"? What channel is that anyway, 9 & 3/4's ?
Let me see, I get CBS and NBC, ABC, CNN, PBS and MSNBC every single night with the nightly news, then of course we have the morning news, afternoon news...they all do the news at the top and bottom of the hour on most radio broadcasts....24 hours a day...etc. etc.
But I don't recall ever getting a "SBC" news feed delivering the so called facts, the spin of the day, the breaking news, the poll results to polls they sponsored...who's the anchor for SBC anyway? What other news oriented programs do they show on SBC?
By the way, the "documentary" Farenheit 911 was just announced to appear on TV just before the election. So according to your analogy does that mean the stations that carry it *are* leftwing biased?
Is Showtime biased because they broadcast the hit piece 'The Reagans'?
Face it, a corporate entity, yes even a broadcasting entity, pushing a single event does not add up to a 24 hour, 7 day a week constant feed. Especially when the source most people rely on for their daily dose of what's-going-on-and-why is the big networks and their news programming.

If it is during prime time, funded by the network, with no commercial interuptions, then absolutely. (I don't care about the prime time part so much)By the way, the "documentary" Farenheit 911 was just announced to appear on TV just before the election. Do you have a link?

Just another attempt to stifle anyone who could do damage(read-tell the truth). Similar to the SBV situation, we don't like what you have to say so we'll do everything we can to shut you up. They're all for free speech as long as it's 'approved' speech.
They remind me of a child who doesn't get his way- Mom says no, go to dad, dad says no throw a fit and tell them both how much you hate them and how unfair they are.
Grow up and put on a set of nuts, please.

Having a television network offer a political movie as payperview is miles apart from offering it commercial free.
If you guys cannot see the difference then you have jumped clear over the edge. Like I said, if you could show me a television network who funded Farenheit 911 (or ANY left wing movie) at a loss (i.e. no commercials, not payperview, etc.), then I would be convinced that they are left-wing biased. No questions asked. Can you do this?
Whatever little dude. yap yap yapGrow up and put on a set of nuts, please.

Just another topic for a bleeder, eh Goob?
I wasn't directing that comment toward you, I was directing it toward the Kerry complainers.. errr campaign. Notice the "they" all through my post. However, if the shoe of a bleeder fits and you feel compelled to be offended, feel free to do so.
I may be a little dude, but at least I wasn't D3k.

I'm afraid you missed my point. I was trying to point out that your example of SBC showing anti-Kerry crap isn't one of "media bias" just like a network showing Farenheight 911/anti-Bush crap isn't media bias. Regardless of how many commercials, what time of day, etc. it's still NOTHING like all the network news divisions and their spin off programs maintaining a preference for one party over the other!Gooberman wrote:...then I would be convinced that they are left-wing biased. People look to the *News* programs as a source of factual info and ultimately that repetative, constant source of less than objective 'news' has a much more profound impact on the way the simple minded form their opinions on the facts than a one time broadcast of something that is obviously presented as one sided.
