those japanese Tatami flooring mats
Congratulations doll, you are following in my footsteps, (Kitten heel, Size 9). Thanks so much for dropping another turd on a perfectly bad thread regarding the most banal of subjects!Mobius wrote:Lived in a room so furnished in Hyogo Prefecture in 1993. It's fine if you are a real minimalist, or raised in Japan, but for regular Euros, the "Cool" and "Different" factor wear off in about 7 days.
Do yourself a favour - avoid decorating your own home this way.
I am glad to know, that you are a human, although I really had no doubt. It's just confirmed now.
Bless you,

our house used to be carpeted but we ripped that up to polish the floors. it looks a million bucks and it's a lot better in the asthma dept, but it's noisy with no carpet, our house is now a huge sounding board.
this is why i'd rather have these mat things than a rug, because they sound healthier, and there's the cool factor.
i have noticed i hardly ever sit on my floor anymore with polished floorboards, it's too uncomfortable.
i'm also considering ditching the bed and grabbing a futon thing that i can store in my cupboard.
i began thinking about grabbing these tatami mat things when trying to do yoga on the wood floors *ow*, this is when i realised how uncomfortable it is, and also it reminded me that i USED to sit on teh floor a lot (and ahh, this is why i don't anymore).
i like sitting crosslegged, it's relaxing (meditative?).
