Watching it right now. About a 3rd of the way to full eclipse. Hope the clouds don't sneak in.

It's about 3/4 in shadow. Starting to get a red glow about it. I'm trying to get a pic but my 200mm lens ain't quite strong enough. I'm using slide film so maybe I can scan 'em in when I get them developed. If so I'll post them. Kinda halloweenish out. Great Horned owls are hooting and the moons turning red.
My 16 x 50 binoculars let me see the moon real good.

Saw it through the pine trees and the clouds when they thinned out. It was 1/2 black and 1/2 red but very dim. Really neato!

I took the kids to see it, in the middle of a dark feild, the dog chased some creatures and never returned, ... then back at home, we shot off our first fireworks of 2004, we had screechers and roman candles for the totality of the blackOrange moonOrb !! ... A perfect super-psche-out-Pre-HAlloween Special ~! ..

I was guarding the entrance to the kibbutz when it started so i quickly went to get the kids out of bed to watch it together on the beach. The wife murdered me the next day. It was 4am, and they couldn't wake up for school. The kids thought it was cool though. Silly Daddy.

FC, missing a day of school for a event they will remember the rest of their lives is not silly. In a manner of speaking watching the eclipse with your kids makes for immortality of a sorts...certainly not silly.

Woody, that's exactly what i said to the Mrs...but i'm still in the doghouse and i probably won't be on the recieving end of any conjugal rights for a few days. Women! Go figure.
