Mouse problem w/ Fusion and MD

Post by Magnum-AHT »

I use mouse when i play d3, and when i use fusion, i can't charge, and when i use MD, i can't zoom. It seems to autorelease. Someone told me to cap the frame rate, and that would fix the problem. Since I usually get low FPS (i have no idea why, that's another problem) i have to cap it at 40 for it to do anything, and even then it will autorelease quite often. Has anyone heard of this problem before and/or know any solutions (besides the FPS cap). Thx.

1. What mouse?
2. Do you have the software installed/uninstalled?

yes, it's installed, and the mouse works fine in windows, but not in descent.

Ok, the software is probably interfering with D3. I had the same problem with the Wingman software for my joystick. Second I uninstalled it, D3 acted just fine. I'd uninstall the software.

I just ran D3 playing with only the mouse (keep in mind that I'm a joystick player) and I encountered the same issue with my wireless logitech mouse.

Start off by capping your fps @ 60 and stop the 0 charge fusion and MD bug!!! Then gradually increase the FPS until the problem begins again... go back to your previous setting. You could also bind a keyboard key, like the rest of the mouseholes who desire 500+ fps. Some here have reported up to 114 FPS before it started again.

BTW did you notice the Vauss from one side yet...another of the same bug

If I cap the framerate at 40 it doesn't work all of the time and i do not want to cap it any lower than that. i tried binding a kb key, but it hinders my flying ability, so i don't want to do that. I haven't noticed any problems with vauss but i'll check again.
Thx for the suggestion MD, i'll definitelly try that and get back to you.

Where is XEON?

He knows more about mouse config than anyone.

Sigh.. If you have a new PC then the OLD methods to resolve this problem do not work. I am talking about Framecaps!!!

There are some options available to fix this

#1) Install POS 98

#2) Use an antique PC for d3

#3) Purchase a logitech mouse and map a KB function to mouse click. This is the easiest fix IMO and will allow you to play at 1000FPS or whatever with mouse. This option will cause headaches for missile boats as you will experience issues with pressing both mouse buttons at once.

#4) Install windows XP with a standard PC hal. Do not use the ACPI HAL or you will have the same problem that Testi has found. This is a poor option IMO as you lose performance enhancing functions like Hyperthreading and can cause system instabilities.

#5) Throw your mouse in the bin and purchase a joystick.

#5) Migrate to a more mouse friendly game :)

With advice you get what you pay for. Make of that what you will :P

Why any gamer with a spare $50.00 wouldn't purchase a logitech MX-510 is beyond me. It is, quite simply, the most versitile and functional gaming mouse ever, IMO.

The 310 isn't that great. I have both, I don't love the 310 nearly as much as the 510 :) and if by Fast PC you mean >1.5mhz, then I qualify, albeit barely ...

Neo, I am waiting for someone to bash you down over your lack of "factual" edumacation on this subject :P

BTW what you are discussing has no relevance at all to the topic posted... Been dipping into nanaâ??s special cookies again perhaps?

Xeon, when you tried changing the MouseResolution parameter, it worked, and you told me I was right, but it was too fast for you, and you changed it back. =P I just thought that the extra info might help. But since you, and some other people, are just so LAME, then I'll remove that info. =P I'm going to begin ignoring you and talking to Magnum-AHT. =P

With the logitech mouse, you can change the function of the left mouse button from acting as the left mouse button to acting as if you're pressing a key on the keyboard. Just make sure you install the latest version of the mouseware available from Logitech's website www.logitech.com . I think you click on downloads, and then select your product.
