Welcome to online play. I've been accused of cheating many times. It's a sign that you are good.

Oh, this is in Subway? heh. Just ignore them and keep munching on Dancerite jelly beans. :) You probably need to be in there with the right group of people, cause I've racked up nice efficiencies in there and not been called a hack...yet anway. Err, that's not quite true, someone was bewildered when I dodged two of their cyclones in a row in my tank in a room. But as I and others have said before, the tank is not slow when you know how to use it. Maybe They need phoenixes to dodge in there, but not everyone does.

I don't consider you a hacker at all. Some dancerites are very young so give them a little slack. Your ok.

What a lot of people see on the other end is due to a bit of lag or loss. Those of us that have been playing for years know full well what that looks like.

In this day of "highspeed" braodband, folks feel they can pirate musi....er.. multitask on line.. ;) and still be able to play online. That or thier isp is crap.

If I had any sort of programming knowledge I would hack as much as possible. I mean, it's all about winning, and nothing about gamemanship.

What they say:

"YOU HACK!"

What they really mean:

"You're a lot better than me, and I don't know what to do about it."

or

"One of us has a really crappy internet connection. Probably me."

or

"I'm trying to get under your skin."

or (on very, very, very rare occasions)

"You're actually hacking."

I've been called a hacker for each of the first 3 reasons, and I've seen a lot of others accused of hacking for the same things. I've only really seen maybe 5-6 real (definite) hackers in all of my Descent playing, and most of those were in D1.

Hacking actually can be quite a lot of fun, but it's usually EXTREMELY weird before it is. Hacking, or more commonly installing hacks (or 'trainers'... I love that term... n00bs), just to gain an edge in on-line play is exclusively gay.

I hack.

Its kinda fun once you get a few people pissed off at you and watching the resulting angry banter about "OMG He's a hacker he sux! LOFLZ!"

Once you do it, its really not that "evil". :)

If I don't play, how do I know you showed up in that game of Glyphic and then later the BI3 game with all of us in pyros?

Another wrongful assumption by you.

And I do understand needing a crutch....

Next time you come in, how about being a sport in it for the fun and join in with us in pyros? Your welcome to join the teamspeak server we were all on last night as well if you'd like to enhance the experience. 66.58.10.2

heh @ "hacking n00b" I'm going to work that into my vocabulary. ^_~

heh Behemoth called me a cheater once. :P

Here's my two cents on being called a haX:

If a n00b calls you a haX, it means that you're on your way to getting better.

If a z00b (supposed l33t) calls you a haX, it means that you're on your way to getting good. ^_~

But neither one is kool because in more popular games, that gets you banned. :(
