Best CD buys

Post by snoopy »

What are the best album buys you have made?

I would have to say one of the best albums I have bough was "Bringing down the Horse" by the Wallflowers. Evanesence come in at a close second. Honorable mention goes to Jimmy Buffet (best hits) and Jars of Clay. (self-titled)

hmm. It tends to change for me.

But latest?

Ayumi Hamasaki - Rainbow

It was only about $15 online (vs $30 at japan town in SanFrancisco) Them imports are expensive.

I'd say that was a good buy. :)

Not just imports. They're that expensive in Japan, too. That said, my best buy has been eh... 140 minutes on 3-disks worth of Super Eurobeats for $13 in some hole-in-the-wall shop in Shinjuku.

I find it ironic, though, that the same j-pop disks that are $30 in Japan and the US, are only $13 in Korea...

I don't know, I have about 3/4 of Jeff Golub's albums on MP3, missing a song here and there. I'm listening to the MP3s for over a year now, so I went ahead and bought 80EUR worth of Jeff Golub albums.. And not regretting it for a single second!

Jeff Golub is a Smooth Jazz guitarist with a very modern vibe, yet still retains much from the Blues. There are almost never vocals (I hate vocals!) and I can just keep listening and listening.
