you need Kali <-- Link
It fakes-out the game into thinking it is on a LAN; which D1 was made for.
Otherwise .. no D1 has no TCP/ip support.
The D1X 1.43 patch has UDP/IP support, but I have not been able to get it to work. Anyone else have any better luck?

then please tell us how you did it? You seem to be the only one I've heard of that Has gotten it to work.Morfod wrote:I've used the tcp/ip with d1x 1.43 very successfully.
1.43 was so funky to begin with, I think only a quarter of the people who used it were able to use all of the bells and whistles.
It would really be appreciated.

um...well I didn't have to DO anything special, so I'll just give you my system config.
1 gHz athlon
256 MB RAM
64 MB GeForce4 MX 420
Running Windows 98, on a cable internet connection. I do NOT have a router in place.
TCP/IP and IPX protocals are installed.
I started up d1x143mw and went to Multi-Player > UDP/IP > Join Game
and typed in the address. After a short while, the game connected like any Kali game.
No errors.
