I could whip up a level I suppose... 1v1 levels generally aren't torture to make, even with some pretty good eyecandy. I'm on the d3l myself, though I haven't been able to play a match yet.

man... if I had the time, I'd port my D1 level zora to D3. It's just about the right size and balance for 1v1 (if I replace the smart with a cyclone), but I don't know the editor well enough to replicate it cleanly.

Same here. I'm doing my 3rd lev right now,(CTF). #1 was my ver of the Tutorial "The Level" and #2 is "Flew By U", which functions, but cuz on the size of the rooms( they are ENORMOUS!, Just ask Stryker.) fly slower than a tank in there. FBU was my first lev from scratch. Hope Digijo is fixing that prob for me, I sent him the file. Lev #3 is just starting, so don't expect any release dates yet. :P:roll:

Zora is way done and Total Chaos Level one is about half done, but due to an upcoming move, it might be another 2 or 3 weeks till I'm done. Getting the main chamber's dementions correct is giving me a hassle. ;)

GOt some cool stuff instore.

Tyr, I'll be happy to take a look at them. PM me and I'll give ya my address. :) Or catch me on Kali. I'll be in and out and away. Trying to pack stuff up and clean the Apt before the move. :)

Just because it looked good in D2 doesn't mean it'll look good in D3... oh well.

In fact, if you're trying to figure out whether it was worth making a level in D3, a good indicator is whether or not it could have been done easily in D2...

imho, "looking good" depends entirely on the builder. It's like any other artwork. I see very little use in doing a "direct port" of a D1/D2 level. However, most players do not feel this way so a "happy medium" needs to be found.

Wolf, I don't worry about that. I build to build. Like I play to have fun, not to win.

The ratio to which a level becomes popular to what is never played or short lived notice is truely ugly. Therefore, I just build. :)

I'll have to look through and see which ones I'd like ported. I'm looking for a Hostile style type port. Not a direct port but something that is really true to the original level. Has roughly the same design but you know, with a D3 flare.

I asked him btw, and he said he didn't have time or something like that. They would make good D3L maps IMO if the weapon balance was good. For those that still play on the D3L that is.

http://missions.dyndns.org/ I'll PM you with a few suggestions and see if you think you have time for it. In the meantime there is my website so when I do list them you can get them as a reference if you don't already have them.
