Cream rises to the top again
Reported in the Vancouver Sun this Saturday. Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker and Eric Clapton are rehearsing for a 2 to 3 concert performance likely at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Dinosaurs will walk the earth again and crush pissant, wannabe, latter day "rock bands" under their feet.

Flabby Chick:
We are each about 7,000 kilometers away from London so we could meet halfway.
Cream was:
Ginger Baker played drums
Jack Bruce played bass
Eric Clapton played guitar
Kids today! No sense of history.
Tales of Brave Ulysses
You thought the leaden winter would bring you down forever,
But you rode upon a steamer to the violence of the sun.
And the colours of the sea bind your eyes with trembling mermaids,
And you touch the distant beaches with tales of brave Ulysses,
How his naked ears were tortured by the sirens sweetly singing,
For the sparkling waves are calling you to kiss their white laced lips.
And you see a girl's brown body dancing through the turquoise,
And her footprints make you follow where the sky loves the sea.
And when your fingers find her, she drowns you in her body,
Carving deep blue ripples in the tissues of your mind.
The tiny purple fishes run laughing through your fingers,
And you want to take her with you to the hard land of the winter.
Her name is Aphrodite and she rides a crimson shell,
And you know you cannot leave her for you touched the distant sands
With tales of brave Ulysses, how his naked ears were tortured
By the sirens sweetly singing.
The tiny purple fishes run lauging through your fingers,
And you want to take her with you to the hard land of the winter.
In my dreams Flabby I'd meet you at the White Hart before heading down to the concert together. You gonna grab tickets Ford? Thats a once in a... kind of thing no?

Oops! I'm thinking I shouldn't have been so quick to dismiss the mystery man.woodchip wrote:there were a few gals looking for someone with tombstones in their eyes)
Now, I'm curious. Gotta picture of you in your Cream days, Woodchip? C'mon give it up!
Thanks for those great lyrics FP. Really beautiful.
