Don't worry Dedman, I won't email Mrs. Dedman your revealing comment...maybe. Hehe.

Awesome story and pictures Clutch. Way to go capturing and releasing them, as opposed to just capping them.

Are you guys considering coyotes? I'm thinking that the light might have kept them away, Chippy.

Nope, it appears that he is just snacking on Tacos and animal feed. :)

12:00 AM, foggy as hell, kinda creepy checking the trap. Any of you remember The Amityville Horror? All I kept thinking about was that red eyed pet of the daughter's... Jodi I believe she called it... yup... creepy enough to send a shiver up your spine!

Well, we got another Cat...

My daughter identified this one as the meanest cat she had ever met. This little feline has taken swipes at the grade schoolers down the road.

Oh, and it may look cute, but as I was taking this picture it was hissing and clawing at me.

I hate cats!

Um... Why I dont like them...

Wild cats multiply faster than rabbits... They fornicate loudly under my window between the hours of 2:00am and 4:00am. They walk across the cars scratching the hell out of the paint, tear holes in the convertible tops. Attacking small children. Attacking adults. Potential Rabies carriers. Tear up trash... etc.

We had a neighbor that was feeding them last year. By the end of summer there were over 60 wild cats in the neighborhood. I don't think you realize just how much damage that many cats can inflict on a subdivision. It was an infestation. I trapped and relocated them rather than send them to a death sentence over at the humane society.

So YES... I HATE CATS.

Tell me... what exactly do YOU like about wild cats?

Wild cats? Here we call them strays. And here they die pretty quickly because they get run over. The city provides its own population control. :P However, my friend takes care of a stray he nicknamed Autumn the Friendlycat, because he (she? never asked) is really friendly. Wouldn't let her in the house (fleas, at the very least) but extremely nice and grateful.

It's impossible to hate domesticated cats.

wild cats are getting a real problem down here in OZ. they are not like normal domestic cats, they are HUGE. i've seen videofootage of them running around the desert (well, running away from the car with the guns ;)) and they are kinda scary lookin. they do incredible damage to the local marcupial population, so it'd probabaly be illegal to catch them and RELOCATE them, it's irresponsible to the environment to do anything other than kill them.

Before Bet gets all upset about off feral cats, let me add I maintain a bird feeder through the winter months and when these cats show up crouched under the feeder to kill "My" birds, is when my protective instincts are aroused. I'm funny that way.

I used to have a couple cats, we had to kill one cat in the neihborhood because it wouldn't stop tearing our cats and dogs up. My dad broke a bbgun over it's head and it still didn't die. It took 3 feedings of poisoned cat food to finally stone it out of it's mind and get it to sit on the highway near my house.

I'm down with the A-bolt, chip, but .22 mag? C'mon man, if you're going to do it at least get some entertainment out of it. I use a .223 with ballistic-tip- Feline acrobatic training in progress. :D

Lovely Fusion Pimp.

And to think my brother has a certificate granted by Varmint Hunter magazine as having a certified gopher kill at 500 yards.

500 on a gopher sized target is a nice shot. What was he using? Most likely a 22-250.

P.S- I'm glad you enjoyed the clip. :)

Hmmm, I don't know what to say, Chip.

Here, try this link. It's got 4 or 5 good clips.
Be sure to forward them to your PETA friends too, please. :)

Yep Woodchip you have them pegged. Cotton and hemp clothing only, no leather shoes, no leather belts, and kinda hungry looking most of the time.

Sorry FP but I'm not sure of the balistics. 22-250 sounds about right, high velocity small caliber anyway. That guy was always a crack shot. Wins alot of trap trophies too.
