"Save as" pic embedded in Word

I was e-mailed an attached Word doc that had a picture pasted in the doc.

How do I save that pic so I can use it outside of Word?

I'm using Word 2000.

copy + paste. word doesn't embed the original file, it only keeps a copy, wysiwyg.

if you want the original, ask the sender.

you can COPY and PASTE it into a image editing program, but no, word itself doesn't have a way of saving the image directly.

That would work too. You'd have to crop the picture out obviously though. It'd take just a minute or two longer than what flip suggested.

yeah click-copying the picture is just like screenshotting, but it screenshots ONLY the picture, basicallly cropping it for you.

HMMMM. Best to highlight the pic and copy it to the clipboard then paste it into photochop.

Because the image in Word could well be shrunken to fit into the page. Word can compress the dimensions, but retains the original image - so Copying it gets the full sized image = better resolution.
