LOL Voting is only one click and usually people like to vote. Whatever. The amount of views is because people are interested in watching the results. Thats all.Pugwash wrote:110 views and 20 votes, no one is voting because they all use windows and cant be bothered. Im not sure what this thread is going to prove other than peeps here are too lazy to vote.
What this thread is going to prove?
I want to see how many "reasons" are here to keep the running system instead of changing to illegal / halfbaked.

I mostly play D3 in Linux. The way the ship moves in Linux is a little different than in windows and I must have gotten used to it therefore I prefer it. So I voted Linux. I do have Win XP installed with D3 on it but I only boot it when I want to play the levels that Linux players are excluded from (and that is a lot of them).
You would be suprized at how many linux copies/equivalants there are for your windows programs. Linux would also force you to learn the ins and outs of your PC, trust me.Top Gun wrote:Besides the fact that every single program/game I use is for Windows, I just really don't have any need for it at this time. Plus, I'd rather learn the ins and outs of a PC before moving on to a different OS.
Explorer always crashes on me if I click the "wrong" thing or do too many things at once. Annoys me enouph not to want to use it. Possibly SP2s fault? Who knows.Stryker wrote:XP Pro x2.
I don't see why so many people down XP, it hasn't given me ANYTHING to complain about since I installed it (which was pretty danged easy).
OT: Had the same problem after SP2. Cleaning the registry w/ RegSeeker eased it quite some, reinstalling XP w/ a streamlined SP2 got rid of it.Xamindar wrote:Explorer always crashes on me if I click the "wrong" thing or do too many things at once. Well, it is very slight, and hard to explain. In Linux the ship turns a bit more snappy. Like you hardly move the stick and the ship turns fast. This used to really annoy me when I first started playing it under Linux but I must have gotten used to it because now it annoys me to play under windows. In windows it seems to have more of a gradual rate of turn, move the stick a little, turn a little, move the stick all the way, turn as fast as is possible. Again, it is very slight, but noticable.iten wrote:Really? I never noticed that, how so?

No, not the keyboard. I was talking about the joystick.
But I do know what you are talking about with the keyboard thing. When you hold the "forward" button down the ship stutters forward and moves slow, then fast, then slow, then fast and so on. I don't seem to be having that problem now thank goodness.

I use Linux also. Why because...well....it's better. It reminds me of something else I support. Libertarians. I keep hearing the same old mindset from people. I know it would be better if I used/supported Linux/Libertarians but I don't because it is not popular. Whatever happend to that pioneer spirit?
I got my wife to switch to Linux for something a simple as a better solitaire game
