How do you use the G1 Security Pass when you enter the room with the green sign on the right and the two force field-guarded rooms?

My guidebot says that i have this Security Pass, but I don't know how to use select/activate/insert it. I go up to the green glowing sign which says "Insert Correct Security Pass" and it does nothing.

I'm getting very pissed off, and if anyone knows how to use these security cards/miscellaneous items, I'd really appreciate your help.

Select items in your inventory using [ and ], and use the selected item with \. You need to actually use the security pass to open the door.

just make sure you use the right pass, if you dont, there is a Tubs waiting behind the forcefield behind you and its very cramped in there
