Now you gotta be kidding me. Porn having that kind of an effect? Either this lady has a screw loose or she's trying to pull something really sneaky.

USA's congress being told crap... from the way this article reads you'd think this was outof the ordinary.

sexual stimulation causes release of happy chemicals in the brain, orgasm being nothing but a sudden surge of these chemicals (iirc, seretonin* levels suddenly drop and dopamine levels suddenly skyrocket). eating food also causes release of happy chemicals in the brain. everything we like to do causes release of happy chemicals in the brain.

herion causes release of happy chemicals in the brain. (actually i think it may actually BE a pure form of one of those happy chemicals, memory isn't good today).

the headline is designed to work with the fear everyone has of herion, which was built up earlier last century. OMG porn is heroin! *torches the local sexshop, before running for the heroin free hills, screaming, arms waving* .

it'd be a funnier and equally true headline statement that EATING FOOD has the same effect on the brain as heroin. hmm, would this either scare ppl into being less fat? or make fat people use more heroin?

*trivia: this is why it's harder to orgasm while on SSRIs, because they make it hard for the seretonin levels to suddenly drop like they need to for orgasm to occur.
