Hmmmm, sounds like the beginning of another Tourney. But that's prolly getting ahead of ourselves....
Let's get this thing off the ground first, and see how it goes. There still needs to be a D3k rep to coordinate with.
Yay, /me starts Page 2!

So who is still in BOTS? Are you Sarge BOTS? I have seen Slowboy, and Piggy. No sign of TD...
I still play 1-2 times a week. I usually fly under a different name with a BoTS tag though. Most of our die hard players are still active, but many rarely fly in uniform anymore. We have scrounged up 8 players and could probably get 10 if we can find a night that works for everyone.
There has been little cross-gender ground-pounder hopping by the faithful. (Unlike some others....)

If you'all would read back farther... you'd see that we'd like to do this using 1.4 because of Cow's inablility to use 1.5 (Mac)
Coolcat, as far I knew the next game the BoTS were to play was for 3rd/4th. I just made this thread to get back that lovin feelin.... hmmm, sounds like a good song!

2 notes...
- Neither team is still in the d3tl, so nothing we do is official d3tl business. This is more of a Sarge-organized 5-year reunion.
- I am willing to play; however, finals week is coming, followed by the holidays. If you guys want to do a Polaris match in the month of December, I won't be there. Keep that in mind when you're choosing between 1.4 and 1.5.

Hiya Margo! Yes, I still live and breathe and I still lurk here occasionally.
Talk about 5 year reunions--My 5 year is coming up on December 26th for D3. My 5 year for the DBB will be about 4 weeks later. Which means nothing other than I get to eat tapioca and sit 3 inches from the screen so I can still see whats happening.
Sheesh Cow...Here we go trying to make accomodations and you get all conditional on us. Is that Texas heat boilin' over your brain?

If this happens it wont be a solid d3k team at all. We just don't have enough that are interested this late in the game.
D3k probably wouldn't even make the majority of the d3k team.

I don't think it really matters... in fact, BoTS may not comprise our entire team either.
I just wanna get some Team Action going here! Maybe if it's a success, werd will spread and more will get re-involved.
Why do you think I've been throwing all these inuendos and insults? I'm trying to get *somebody* over there fired up! Come on, let's get some negotiations goin here!
I don't wanna hear... "Oooo, I've been playin ground-pounders too long. I don't think I can handle 6DOF anymore" or "I can't find my joystick, I think my dog ate it!" or "My wrist hurts from (enter fav pastime here)"
Sheesh.... PANSIES!

Even when d3k was at its peak we always had very few games in december. Alot of us have finals, alot of us travel, etc.
Bump this in january and I will try to get a group together.

I bet I could arrange for myself, monkey and crown to show up for this one.
Monkey is on high speed now too. Toss in Gooberman, Bah, and Skyalmian, thats 6. Could probably find even more.

I think we could go for that... by then I'll have my new CPU running and I'll be used to running @ 1GFPS as opposed to the ~200 I'm at now...

If it takes place on a Sunday or Monday, there is a small chance I might be able to coax Starkiller into playing, so 7.

See, I thought we played that game 'cause we were to play D3k next for the Semis..... be it never happened. Crap, I don't remember anymore....
BTW, is that CTF tourney site up still? I remember there being no updates for a long time and then everyone lost interest.

D3k made it to the finals and was to play the winner between bots and ta. a few months passed and ta wanted to play still and got bumped up to the finals because nobody had heard from the bots in a long while. we had already lost interest by then and ta was awarded the tourney win.

Moot point, BoTS deactivated.

It's up on the D3TL, but Roncli hasn't been around, so it hasn't been updated in eons.

The BoTS still play, just not organized team play. I think they would if there was a league still.
So are we looking at January for this?
