just stumbled across this, i saw someone on usenet mention it.

it's a reposatory of login names and passwords for sites that require registration. like how many news sites are doing these days.

if a site you find requires registration, you can just goto bugmenot.com put the website into it, and it will tell you a previously registered username and password that you can just feed into the offending site.

or you can do what i did, and just install the mozilla plugin that does it automatically

and have been searching for it again ever since.

Thank you roid. There was no way I could replicate the random surfing that led to bugmenot the first time, and my history expired before I rememebred I forgot to bookmark.

It probably shouldn't be here. We'll get random spammers and it'd mess up those forum regulars with the plugin.

While I'll agree it shouldn't be here, the plugin actually doesn't mess anything up. You have to right-click in the text box to input the data, so just visiting the site under your previous login doesn't change anything.
