I had an extra PC laying around collecting dust and I wanted to use it for something useful. So ... I bought a 15" LCD ($109 after rebates), bored a hole in my kitchen counter, and VOILA! I can instant message, rock out, and download pix from my digital camera all while cooking dinner each night.
The Boston Acoustics speakers and subwoofer I had in a closet, the A7M266 based Thunderbird 1.4 box was in a closet, I bought the wireless keyboard/mouse for $59 at Best Buy. I already had an extra wireless NIC. Very nice, I like this setup!
Pix below ...
And yes, it will be folding when not in use ...
A Good Use For A Spare PC
strange speakers for a kitchen situation though, thought of anything else?
i recon grab some of those flat speakers and stick em to the walls. or put em on the higher up. probabaly not practical, but it just looks like it's missing something (well, the opposite actually) coz of the speakers. know what i mean?
btw

i don't know why, but having that wireless mouse skitting around on the kitchen table just strikes me as funny for some reason.
egg whisk - cleaver - pairing knife - mouse - sieve.
it'd be funny if someone packed it into the cutlery drawer, or even put it in the dishwasher ahaha.
