Mouse & KB lag in HL2?

Anyone else experience this in Half Life 2? Since today it happens all the time. I load up my game and once I'm in, it takes 1-2 seconds for the movement to register.

Tried some of the things on Valve's support place but nothing has helped yet.

Anyone find a cure?

You using a wireless mouse, by any chance?

Yes I am but this didn't always happen. It's a Logitech MX 1000 laser mouse. The battery is fully charged and the base station is about 2 feet away at most.

plug a non usb 2.0 device that shares the port with your mouse?

I tried using a using a usb corded mouse and no go.
