Favorite controller

What's your favorite controllers to play games with? I like the standard Sega Saturn controller best.(I still like to play the Saturn) Followed by PS2.

For computer I use the MS Natural Keyboard Elite with some peice of sh8t ball mouse that came free with some computer parts. I want to get one of those nice Logitech MX somethings like I got my bro for last Christmas.

Oh yea! And I can't forget to mention my Thrustmaster Top Gun Afterburner II Stick & Throttle combo. I love it.

Console:
1. Gamecube's controller. By far the most comfortable controller on the market, has good button placement (once you get used to it)
2. Playstation 2. A more simplustic, slightly less comfortable version of the GC controller, still a good design.

XBOX's controllers (both the big one and the large one) hurt my hands if I grip them too long. Bad controllers.

PC:
1. Any keyboard will do, matched up with the MX510. Sexy.

Atari 2600 controllers... Hands down.

But seriously, my favorite controller is the PS2 controller due to it's perfect button placement. EVERYTHING is within reach... next is Gamecube's controller because it just fits naturally into your hand and the buttons are reasonablly placed.

Xbox can suck my 8=========D though.

For computers it would have to be any of the oldschool saitek cyborg joysticks, then the Force Feedback 2. I got a hookup for my PS2 controller for my PC too so that's pimpin'.

All-in-all, I like the PS2 controller the best. It is a good blend between a SNES-type controller and analog for dealing with today's 3D gaming applications. My only qualm with it is that I often get confused between R1/R2/R3 L1/L2/L3.

The Xbox S controllers are extremely sturdy and feel well-constructed. I like these too, although I haven't played too many Xbox titles.

The GameCube one is nice when you have games that feel designed around it (like any Nintendo title), but it's rather awkward for games ported from PS2 or Xbox.

The GC controller.... lol, those have always felt junky to me. They feel like your holding a toy for a 5 year old. The sticks tend to break. (My friends bust them all the time. I'm carefull enough not too though). I never liked any of the Nintendo controlers. PS2 isn't bad. Has more buttons than the X-Box. However, the X-Box controller is more durable, feels nice and comfy, while it has a rumble pack installed, and still feels semi-manly.

I really like the rubber thumbsticks too instead of the junky ones on most controlers. On most they hurt my thumb after a while (the 64 controlers would burn the ends of my thumbs raw) and because of circulation problems in my body, my hands tend to sweat bullets so they allow me to continue my grip on the sticks.

You can also plug your X-Box controler into your PC with the right hookup also from what I understand.

The original gigantanimously huge Xbox controller. I can't play on a PS2 controller at all (hands are way too big, and whoever came up with R1/R2 and L1/L2 deserves a kick in the nads) and the GC controller is useless -- where the hell is the Z button?!

Definitely the Sidewinder 3DPro, the SNES, and the PS1. The PS2 controller is lighter than the PS1, and definitely more fragile (bad experience with Madden '04 , here

). I despise the N64 controller (that joystick is total crap, and for some inexplicable reason, most games don't let you use the D-pad). The XBox doesn't even feel natural at all to hold, and while the GameCube is all right, the PS controllers just have better button placement. Besides all that, though, I'd have to include the Atari 2600 joystick and the NES controller. Ergonomics be damned, I want a brick!

I usually just go with my standard keyboard. Hasn't failed me yet. When playing my various emulators though, I use the Gravis Xterminator. It was originally my brother's, but he gave it to me.

As far as any controller that's ever existed, I'd say the Gamecube or the SNES controller would be my favorite.

For consoles I like the Gamecube controller the best. I hate the PS2 controller, using one of those for long gives me hand cramps.

I haven't used a PC controller in a while but I liked the MS Precision Pro the best of the ones I've used.

Keyboard and mouse. I've never been able to get used to anything else, and that's the reason I never went into consoles... Couldn't get used to the controls.

Plus, there's a funky anecdote with controls. When I started to play Descent back in the day, there was no directinput and the key layout on a Belgian keyboard being different, I learned to fly with a really awkward control setting. Old habits die hard, so I carried those controls over to 1st person shooters and still use it to this day.

A few friends of mine who took their first gaming steps at my comp are also cursed with funky key settings

we are doing amazing things with these things. controlling swords, aiming guns, picking up stuff in Virtual Reality.
we are even putting them on our feet, and playing Dance Dance Revolutions with them. putting them on our head and using them as headtrackers.
