Just for future reference:

FireFox:

Tools -> Options -> Accessibility

Uncheck "Find while typing"

Mozilla:

Edit -> Preferences -> Navigator -> Smart Browsing

Uncheck "Automatically complete text into the Location bar"

MD, I have Firefox, and Accessibility isn't even an option under Options. For me, I go to Options -> Privacy -> Saved Form Information.

For Firefox

Tools->options->advanced->accesibility

inline auto-complete applies to forms and the address bar on IE, which was what Iceman was asking about, and not the search function, which what MD the skimmer thought he read.
